Do you make custom designs?
Starting in 2026 I will be limiting the number of customs I take on. I will make custom designs for clients when they align with my interests, style, and my particular skill set in tattooing. If there is a flash piece you like aspects of or a piece of mine that inspires an idea and would like to customize it, I am happy to do so.

Do you use AI?
No, I do not use AI in any part of my life where I can help it and I personally will not be using it for my art. I don’t have any AI apps or use any AI chatbots in my daily life, but I know it is becoming a part of every social media platform, every google search, and it seems inevitable. The idea of such a powerful tool is a nice concept but as I learned more about how AI is damaging our ecosystem, harming communities near data centers, straining our electrical grid, and poisoning our drinking water; I decided not to partake in its use wherever I can limit it.
Many image generators were trained on art stolen from contemporary working artists (against copyright laws) and continues to harm and inhibit working artists from being able to survive off their work. I have the ability to do everything for my work without the assistance of AI so it would be an unnecessary shortcut at the expense of our world. I have the privilege and ability to avoid its use, so I will do so. Let’s leave art to the humans and save some resources.

What is your pricing?
I do not have an hourly rate, and I price per design. My minimum for any project is $200. For a 3 inch to 6 inch piece you can expect to spend between $400 and $800 depending on your concept, size, and detail this may vary. For large pieces (6 inches or larger) you can expect to spend $800- $1200 or more depending on the project. Multiple session projects will be broken into a number of full day sessions. Full day sessions are typically $1200. If you want to discuss your budget feel free to mention it in your form and you can always schedule a virtual consultation with me. I am happy to work with your budget however I can.

I have an appointment for a custom, when can I see my design?
I show custom designs at the beginning of our appointment and if you would like to make any changes we will have plenty of time to do so in at the start of our appointment. This allows for us to efficiently discuss the design in person and communicate about changes or what is possible for your specific placement and sizing. I have had designs stolen and taken to other shops when sending ahead of time, so I do not share drawings before the appointment unless we have discussed doing so.
-
What can I do to prepare for my appointment?
Please be sure to eat and be hydrated before your appointment. Consider the size, placement, and length of our session and plan accordingly. Be sure to wear clothes that allow easy access to the area we will be tattooing. For example, a back tattoo you can bring a backless shirt or a zip-up to wear backwards. Bring snacks, water, and maybe some sugary candy to keep your blood sugar up! You’re welcome to bring any items you might want for comfort such as headphones, a sweater or blanket, or anything else might make you comfortable.
Please refrain from drinking alcohol 24 hours before your appointment.

Do you do coverups?
Yes, I do. I actually love doing coverups. Especially when the client is open to ideas and my creative freedom because it makes the process both really fun and successful. The large areas of black and high contrast nature of my work makes for a great coverup. You can submit a form for a coverup via my customs form.
-
What is your style of tattoos called?
Thats a great question, jury is still out because the style is pretty new. But some names (or tags for searching social media) I’ve been using are high contrast tattoos, textured blackwork, surreal gothic, neogothic, illustrative, 3rl tattoo, stipple tattoo and fine line. Although my work isn’t truly “fine line” and is closer to realism than line work centered designs; I use the term to refer to the amount of detail, delicate lines, and scale of a lot of my work. The industry is rapidly evolving and the names just haven’t quite caught up to us yet.
