BOOKING INFO

To book a custom tattoo with me please fill out one of my forms on the submissions page, after reading the following information. If you are interested in flash, please visit my available flash page, there you can book flash with me immediately without having to submit a form.

If you would like a custom tattoo please include as much detail as possible about your concept. If you would like a variation of a flash piece of mine, please fill out the form as well.

WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS ARE YOU ACCEPTING?

When making custom designs, I will never copy or use other living contemporary tattooers or artist’s designs, but I am happy to do mastercopy tattoos of existing fine art or paintings. If the artist is living, check their site for a “tattoo ticket” or their policies on their work being tattooed. Feel free to show me examples of art work and tattoos you like. I am always happy to create based on your concept if it aligns with my style and the work I am doing.

As a fine artist and tattooer I take pride in crafting original and unique designs for my flash and customs. I am interested in historical art movements such as classical Greco-Roman art, the Renaissance, Romanticism, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Antiquarian Illustrations, Pulp Art and Illustration (think of old movie posters and magazines), etchings, Gothic art and architecture, scientific illustrations, Surrealism,  and Pop-art. More concepts in both art and tattooing I am interested include figurative art, portraiture, ignorant style, fine line, realism, micro realism, overlays, collage and I love to combine both historical and contemporary concepts. It’s okay if your idea seems like it’s outside of these bounds, let me hear your concept!

A note for clients, please do not send me your AI generated references, or avoid generating images just to explain your ideas to me. A few sentences explaining your ideas, and some references from a rich history of illustration and fine art, will suffice. I am a practiced draftsman with a very visual minds-eye and a rich imagination, so lets work together to save some resources and our drinking water. We can find resources together, or if you need help visualizing and designing your ideas, that is quite literally my job. So lets leave the art to the humans who have worked diligently for years to become skilled designers. Not every image translates well into the medium of tattooing and these are not considerations a computer is trained to incorporate into a design. Separating my personal opinions of AI (which you can read more about in my FAQ if you are curious), it simply is not a good way to design an image for a tattoo.

PRICING & DEPOSITS

My minimum for any tattoo project is $200, and for 3-6 inch sized piece you can expect the pricing to range between $400-$800 but this can vary depending on complexity and style. Larger projects, or multiple session pieces will start around $800, and full day sessions start at $1200. If you have any questions and concerns about budget, feel free to ask questions in the form below or request a consultation. Upon scheduling an appointment I require non-refundable and non-transferrable $50 deposit, or $200 deposit for full day projects. Your appointment is not confirmed until a deposit is paid (and for flash until a time and date is selected after deposit). The deposit paid will come off the price of your tattoo at the end of your appointment. If you need to reschedule, your deposit will be saved if you have given me 72 hours notice. Without 72 hrs notice, you are welcome to reschedule but will have to pay another deposit.

DESIGN PROCESS FOR CUSTOMS

If you are getting a custom tattoo, I will show you the design(s) I’ve created for you at the start of the appointment. Depending on the specificity of the request I may have one or multiple options prepared for you. I create designs with huge amounts of intention and consideration for the aging process. I do not use AI in my designs, and I carefully draw, collage, and design each image which is an extremely time consuming process. To keep myself organized I cannot design weeks or months in advance for customs, so I appreciate my clients’ trust and patience during the design process and leading up to the appointment. I do not send designs before the appointment, and you can check out my FAQ for a more in-depth explanation about why. We will have time built into the beginning of our appointment to work together and make any alterations if necessary. In-person communication allows for better discussions about ideas, technical feasibility of a design, and fitting the design to your body and specifications. For this reason I also stress that you provide as much detail as possible in your submission form and any communication between us following the form. When applicable, it is helpful if you share pictures of the area where you want the tattoo placed. This is especially helpful if it’s between other tattoos. (The initial submission form does not allow for photo submissions, but feel free to DM some on Instagram after submitting your form, or I can ask for photos via instagram or email once we start the process.) Feel free to request a consultation on the form as well to discuss your ideas.

RESPONSE TIME

In order to keep up with demand I will only be accepting a few custom pieces each month and I will be focusing on flash designs. While I would love to be able to get back to every one of you hastily, please allow 2-4 weeks for me to process custom requests. If you do not hear back within the 2-4 weeks this means I cannot take on your request at this time, but please feel free to resubmit and look out for future emails. I try to take on customs whenever I can. If you don’t want to wait, feel free to book a flash design with me!

After submitting your form I will reach out via instagram or email to begin the process!

Thank you!
